Pocket Coach is an audio only prompting system for pocket PC's designed to provide assistance to individuals with cognitive disabilities, such as mental retardation, learning disabilities, traumatic brain injury (TBI), or other disabilities. On a Pocket PC, a parent, teacher, or other caregiver can record a series of task instructions or other messages for the individual. Visual Assistant is a Pocket PC prompting system which uses pictures and audio prompts. It has been designed to provide visual, as well as verbal cues to assist the user in performing individualized tasks that have been set up by the caregiver. Therefore, in addition to recorded audio instructions Visual Assistant can be used to provide digital pictures or icons representing each step in the task. Visual Asistant is "AIMS Ready."
